In 2019, our Office Management and Leasing Team was contacted by a national brokerage firm that deals only in sales, who had a client and first-time landlord, who had just bought a 6,381 SF medical office building in Bartow Florida The client shared that he had just found out the regional medical tenant was not renewing their lease and was concerned his building would be vacant within the first few months of his ownership.
Additionally, we learned that the current tenant was paying below market rent and had not been taking proper care of the property or its upkeep.
