A Colombian craft brewery just opened in Oviedo
Bruder Latin Restaurant & Brewery is now open at Oviedo Mall, and it’s exactly the kind of tenant that gets people excited.
Founded in 2009 in Tunja, Colombia, Bruder has built a reputation well beyond its home country. The brewery holds 14+ international awards, including a Gold Medal at the World Beer Awards 2022 for its Maracuyá ale. It operates 10 locations across Colombia. Oviedo is its first U.S. location.
Inside the space
Bruder occupies 8,789 SF at 1280 Oviedo Mall Blvd, Space 1095, the former Oviedo Brewing Company space. The brand invested over $1 million into a full renovation, turning the space into a Colombian-inspired brewpub with in-house beer production, Latin American cuisine, and craft cocktails.
The beer lineup alone is worth the trip. Bruder brews everything from a Blonde Ale and IPA 65 to a Chocolate Stout, Passion Fruit IPA, Ginger and Mint, and a Mango & Passion Fruit; beers you won’t find at most Florida taprooms.
Why this matters for Oviedo Mall
Oviedo Mall has been intentional about what fills its space. Bruder is a full brewpub with an international track record, a $1M+ build-out, and a concept Orlando hadn’t seen before.
It joins D’Amico and Sons, an 8,000-square-foot Italian market and bakery also now at the property. The mall’s transformation into a true dining and entertainment destination is in motion, with future plans to become an eat/sleep/work/play mixed-use destination with 700+ luxury apartments.
