Wellness Way in Clermont, FL is a development plan within the southeast corner of Lake County, located to the left of Horizon West. Its main goal is to transform the area into a hub for high-tech and high-wage industries, along with strengthening the connection with other hubs within the region. Since 2016, when the nearly 16,000 acre development was established, there have been many new developments announced to be coming to Wellness Way in Clermont, FL. Olympus – Epic Every Day
The Olympus Master Development is well underway to creating a community dedicated to health and wellness. This is the perfect addition to Wellness Way in Clermont, FL, which is known as the Choice of Champions due to its draw of athletes who train at the National Training Center and it being home to the Special Olympics Florida Headquarters. Combined with the 3.5 miles of paved trails, 4 piers, boardwalks, over 23 parks, numerous boat ramps and more – Clermont, FL is filled with outdoor wellness and fitness activities as well as world-class training opportunities.
Construction has begun on the first two phases including preliminary infrastructure. Integra Land Company is far along in construction of its “Integra Heights” apartment complex and is set to begin pre-leasing apartments spring of 2023,. David Weekley’s “Reflections at Olympus” is expected to begin the sale of their single-family and townhomes in mid-2023.
Within the past year three huge partnerships have been announced that will majorly shape the Sports Campus at Olympus. The first two were announced in August of 2022, Tampa Bay Lightning Founder, Phil Esposito, and EDGE Sports Group joined the Olympus team. Esposito became the founding member of the estimated $20 million Ice Center. Boston-based EDGE Sports was announced as “the premier athletic ecosystem specialists, to facilitate development, design, and management of the 60-acre Sports Campus at Olympus. The third announcement came in February of 2023. It was announced that Olympus would be partnering with CLASH Endurance, a Daytona Beach-based sports media and endurance event company. CLASH Endurance will be Olympus’ exclusive sports and triathlon promoter and organizer.
Other Developments
The remaining 49 acres northwest of Olympus known as Clonts Grove was purchased by Coastal Ridge in June 2022 for $7.35 million. They then decided to split the parcel down the middle and sell the section closest to U.S. 27 to Advent Health, who has no immediate plans for the parcel.
Hickory Groves, a landowner based in New York City, has filed plans for a master-planned community just north of Schofield Road and west of the Orange County line. If approved, this could add another 1,176 new homes to Wellness Way, along with a mix of offices, retail, industrial, and multifamily.
Pulte Homes, who already has a development in the works within Wellness Way, is under contract with GT Homes to purchase the 840 acres from the Canadian homebuilder who had purchased the parcel in 2021. The master plan is located between Schofield Road and the future Lake-Orange Connector Road. Pulte plans to develop 1,601 dwelling units, 352,836 SF mix of non-residential construction, and 108 acres they define as “Wellness Space”.
In conclusion, Wellness Way in Clermont, FL is a development plan that seeks to transform the area into a hub for high-tech and high-wage industries, and there has been great momentum recently within four of its developments.
